The Genesis framework by StudioPress brings form to WordPress. Why buy Genesis when there are thousands of free WordPress themes? Don’t any of these free themes do what Genesis does?
I asked these question once upon a time, until…

It’s the Magazine child theme on the Genesis Framework. I speak highly of Genesis; I’m a user — a convert really. So much so, I wrote an in-depth 1,800 word Genesis review.
After all, I once was a “free theme” or “open source” user, but came to be frustrated with limitation after limitation.

When you buy Genesis Theme, what does it do for you?
In addition to many features and benefits (plus some dislikes) I set out in my Genesis review, you get top-notch design. This is design that converts website visitors to customers… at least it does for me. I couldn’t ask for anything more, yet more is given.
I’d be neglectful if I didn’t at least mention the search engine optimization advantages of the Genesis Framework. There’s no website traffic like free traffic. But, there is no free lunch. You must build your website so it ranks in the search engines. Genesis has the SEO tools that enable any user to optimize a WordPress website quickly and easily. No coding knowledge needed.

And no, you aren’t solely dependent on other customers. There are several senior moderators, hand-picked by StudioPress, who post answers to questions. Generally answers are posted in under 24 hours.
